Read about how our programme works below...
If your initial application to Fair Shot Cafe is successful, you will get invited to an interview day. There, we will ask you some questions and get you to carry out some practical tasks to see if you are a good fit. If you pass this stage, we welcome you to the programme!
Gain work experience in our cafe for 1 year. During this time, you will work 4 days a week, 5-hours at a time. Once a week, you will be back in our partner college to carry out the educational side of the course.
Our trainees will be supported by job coaches via Access to work, our partners charity Action on Disability and College West London College, as well as the Fair Shot team.
During the programme, you will receive training in the following: barista skills, till work, food preparation, customer service, food hygiene, interview practice, CV writing skills, English, Maths and digital competency skills.
Once you have completed your year with us at Fair Shot, our team and Action on Disability will help find you a job in mainstream employment. We are committed to continuing our support for a further 6 months after the programme has finished.
The reason we started this programme is to see you thrive in mainstream employment and beyond. We want to celebrate you as you continue building on your skills and achievements!
